This post will guide you through the process of quickly setting up your first Oracle APEX Workspace.

Step 1: Visit the Oracle APEX Homepage
Navigate to the Oracle APEX's home page. Here, you'd be able to see all the product related information here along with several tutorials and helpful documentations. Click the "Start for Free Today" button (highlighted in the image below)

Step 2: Choose Your APEX Workspace Plan
This will take us to the "Getting Started" page of Oracle APEX. Over here, we need to choose the "Plan" that would suit us the most. As a learner/explorer, "Free APEX Workspace" is more suitable and is more than enough to get us started with Oracle APEX. To choose that, we need to click the "Free Sign Up" button that is highlighted in the below image.

Step 3: Fill Out the Workspace Request Form
By following the above steps, we'll be redirected to the below form - "Request Workspace - Form".

Over here, we would be asked to fill in some mandatory details before Oracle sets up a Free cloud workspace for us. This includes
- First Name - Provide your first name (E.g. John from "John Doe")
- Last Name - Provide your last name (E.g. Doe from "John Doe")
- Email - Provide your valid email address for which you have access to. The workspace setup link will be sent to this mail address (E.g. johndoe@gmail.com)
- Workspace Name - This is the unique name that would be needed to identify our workspace among millions of other free Oracle cloud workspaces (E.g. JOHN_DOE_CODES)
- Location - The country where we reside in - (E.g. Finland)
Along with these fields, we would be asked to choose values for 2 radio-button field questions that are self-explanatory.
- Are you new to Oracle APEX?
- Do you plan to use APEX for education or training?
Finally, we would have to accept the terms and conditions by checking in the "I agree to the terms of the Oracle APEX Service Agreement". Once all the fields are filled, click on "Register Workspace" button. If all the required fields are not filled, relevant error messages will be displayed near the fields (as shown in the image below)

Step 4: Submit the Workspace Request
Now, upon clicking the "Request Workspace" button, a confirmation modal-form appears based on the information provided by us for verification. If all the information provided are valid, we would be clicking the "Submit Request" button.

Upon successful request, the following success message will be displayed.

Now, within few minutes, we will receive a mail that would look similar to the one that I've received. This will be done to validate our email address and once we click on "Create Workspace" button, a workspace will be created for us.

Upon redirection, we will be asked to set up a password. Once the password is set, we would be logged into the system and your UI should look like the one below.

With these steps completed, your Oracle APEX account setup is now successfully finished, and you're ready to explore the powerful capabilities of Oracle APEX.
